Inspired by { WWIW} From the Ground Up

Summer here in Monterey has been pretty decent this year.We can be flooded with fog most days but this year has brought the sunshine a bit.Makes for a happy Momma Zo.I have been putting my Pintrest to work too.Especially with my hair.I'll admit I'm in a bit of a hair funk.I adore my hair girl but I find myself missing my long locks lately.Here is my first try at spicing things up there.

This little photo montage was Inspired by Meg's over at Absolute Mommy.She has a little fashionista too.I think our girls would be instant beasties if they met.However Bay's sense of style includes but is not limited to Rainbow,leopard and rhinestones.I might appreciate Megan's daughter guidance a little more after that description.My main concern during the summer is underwear.Just make sure you have it on and we are all good to go.I gave up the fight with anything else.Plus both the girls wear uniforms all year for school.Summer allows for freedom in the dress department I think,No?

I thought it would be a fun addition to add into WWIW what starts my routine anyway.From the ground up...Left to Right:Love my deodorant,no white marks Promise.Philosophy Beach Girl Lotion.The scent a combination of suntan lotion and orange creamcicle. If I dare wear shorts,which is rare,a skirt maybe like today,I use this.My pregnancies did a number on my legs so this gives me courage to brave them bare.A nice shimmer cover over those little purple spiders.Bleck! Jergens Natural Glow,everyday.single.day.Natural color and no orangey streaks.The Aleve is just for today.My little slept with me last night,on my side of the bed.Huge shocker because my girls NEVER EVER come to my side.I'm a grump at night.They know it, I know it,and daddy does the snuggle job just fine.But my neck is suffering today.Chiropractor today at 6,just saying.Lemon body lotion from The Body Shop,another fabulous scent. I used it one my hands.Smells like lemon pie. I love Philosophy products.I use these both pre make up.I need extra B12. I just feel better when I take it.And I suffer occasional excema. So a little of this goes a long way to relive the scratching.Thats my Ground Up Round Up....Maybe next week..Make-up? I love being a girl.

Kid birthdays are the best ever too.

Just to collect a portion of
It's goodness.
For example,
I usually collect(more so require)a
Domestic Engineering Fee.
This sort of fee covers any/all relational
Duties I may or may not
Need to preform during my work
Here as a Momma.
Right off the top of
My girls birthday money.
Terrible,I know right?

It's usually not much.
It at least covers a
Starbucks Chai Tea Latte

Birthdays are the Best Ever!

We have a crazy neighbor.
No joke, WhackADoo.
A short list of things she has done/said includes:
Asking us for money.
Stalking my husband early in the morning for rides.
Asking to open her liquor bottles late at night(when I'm not home).
Locking herself in her bedroom them calling for me, then asking if my husband is home because she needs HIS help to get out.
Do we see a pattern here friends?
Telling our neighbor's we are Russian Spies and have their phones tapped.
Asking our neighbor's what they did with the "Blonde One" and if they killed her?
Ummmm, I wonder who she was referring too???
Calling me at 7a.m. To asking,more so demand the car parked in front of her house(on public property)be moved.I hung up,she called the police.
Having her elderly dad call me late one night and ask us to turn off our back porch light because she was trying to sleep.The brightness was killing her.Noticing the light was not on, I kindly said nope,not us,not our light and the realized it was a full moon shining In on her.
Ironic right?
Telling our new neighbors we are official
FBI agents.
Telling my husband it's such a shame we are FBI and she can no longer speak to us.
Really? You are too kind Crazy Vicki! Too damn kind.
That's the short list.
So my dirty little secret....
I told her a couple months back to stop harassing us.
Period.Stop.Enough is enough.
She argued with me saying she would never.
I then reminded her just how Cray Cray she is and to never stop taking her medication and walked away.
It felt so good to say that after years of harassment from her.
I should problay feel a little bad for reminding her she's certifiably crazy....
Ummmmm...
Nope!

Top 10 Sewing Projects on Deck

A new spin on quilting.I gathered some of my favorite fabric scraps,cut them up into different pieces and stitched them all over.It's almost done...and will be soon,for a very special baby girl I know.

These onesies are almost done as well.I found fabric tags,ironed them onto the onesies and will add some bling to make them sparkle.They have a (home) too...

Another scrappy baby snuggle quilt in the making....Love the raw edge for flair.And a soft dot minky backing with finish this beauty soon too.

Burp clothes in one of my favorite All.Time.Fabric's.Final stitching to come.

And a hooded towel to match.My girls have so many of these towels and they have become a family/friends gift favorite.In my esty shop soon.

A little girl tank & matching hoody towel,again....an unfinished gift.I better get crackin,right?!?!

Little girl dress quilt.Now...I am NOT a quilter.But...this quilt is so special.Every dress here is embellished with lace,ribbon,buttons and rik rak.I took my time in coordinating color and when it's finished, I just might HAVE to keep it.I'm still undecided.

Sequenced beret's...The dance studio I help out at and is owned by one of my closest friends, check her out HERE! I am re constructing them into big bows.Wish me luck!

Little ballerina tutu's that I NEED to sew ASAP! With recital season approaching,these will be worn by the cutest little dancers ever.One of which,is my BayShaye.

And my final Top 10 of most procrastinated projects is my soon-to-be painted home office.It will be painted soon.It must!I need this space to help Momma Zo get organized and on task with the above projects and getting my Etsy Shop off the ground and become a reality.So this Top 10 is to encourage myself and keep me accountable with what I have to do.Now it's out there...Let the sewing begin...Or maybe a cup of hot tea would be nice too.
