Finally it's complete! My very own space,room,hide out,call it what you want.It's finished and it's all mine.Well famous last words right?
It also serves as Carys' study/school place when we are home.So just in time for good use.
There are finishing touches to be made but such is life right?

Saving Momma Zo

This little bag often saves me throughout the day.I keep it stock piled with goodies that (save) me and my two favorite girls,at all times.Here is a snapshot into what it holds as of today...It's contents vary,depending on the mood.Ok that little pot of gold from Benefit,it's like Jesus for my dark circles.Swear.A-mazing.Girly bandaids for the hulligans.I have very active girls and we require a ton of Booboo juice and ouchy equipment.And for some strange reason,when the bandaids are pretty,the ouchy hurts less,imagine that?!Sanitizer for the germaphobe/ hypochondriac in me,we all have our(stuff) right?!Sally's cuticle oil and Kat Von D's yummy light scented rollerball perfume does the trick in a pinch too.I try and keep my Dirty mouth clean.I swear like a trucker sometimes,it's terrible.So keeping it minty fresh helps,well,kinda.Sometimes a pretend cuss word just doesn't cut it and I can't help throwing down a sh*t!I know,such a bad mom.And I am a lip gloss whore.End.Of.Story.This is just the small stash.I store them everywhere.And when I can't find one,I do what every warm blooded loving momma does,I steal the girls.I mean,come on, how many Body Shop lip pots can a 5/8 year old have right? I feel no guilt for that.

A Sneaky Peaky...

One of many long time dreams of mine is coming true.If you don't know,I Love to create,re-create,add too,embellish,ect.And this here beauty(logo) is all mine created by a dear friend of mine Veronica @ Good Luck Charm Designs...http://www.etsy.com/people/vburgess....Check her out.There really are NO WORDS for her talent.I'm so excited and a little overwhelmed here.I'm a mom,(Momma Zo)rather, and that will always come first.So trying to make this balance happen might take time,give me a little grace please.And lots of encouragement,I'm going to need it.Above is my Official Logo...Love.It.To.Death.She also created another version of the logo which I will use too.How can I not,right? The coolest thing about this process is not that I think I'm going to make millions off this handmade business but more so just be able to freely create things I love and bring them to the masses...Or a few friends at least.The banner was also created by Veronica and will hang in my sewing room for now.Love it! Love.Love.Love.Just wanted to share what is in store for 2012 for Momma Zo...It's going to be a great year,I can feel it.

Inspired

My creative juices are flowing these days. I was blocked for awhile. Too many ideas, not enough time in my day to follow through. I was bummed. Then something magical happened... The girls started school! crazy right?!? And for the first time in my Mother'hood' I actually had gained some of my own time back. It's a total trip when this happens. For those SAHM that feel like it's never going to happen, it ACTUALLY does. And it's glorious. I feel more balanced during my day, I take better care of myself (i.e. no more pb&j's for lunch or other leftover scraps I find on the table after the girls are long gone). I actually eat a grown up lunch. Brush my hair and teeth. Dress myself. Listen to inappropriate music LOUD in my car, until I pick them up of course. It's awesome, let me tell you. But I'm pursuing my passion for creating things. All kinds of things. For momma's, their babes and home. My goal this year is to  open my own store online. Things are in the works, I couldn't be more excited. And can't wait to debut all things rad to you, here. Sometime soon.Promise. But I have a terrible habit of never ever making anything for myself. So today, I made this! Love the color. Simple and clean. I really do have a great life!

Prototype

There was this yellow pillow that inspired me on this bag.So I went for it. Plus I love the way the pattern inside *POPS* with color compared to the white canvas outside. With a large magenta flower punch on the front, it screams fun all over it.

Ruffles Ruffles Ruffles

These ruffles are everywhere right now. And so fun to embellish with onto anything really. Dish towels, onesies, tank tops, you name it. So I made this Springtime beauty the other day to liven up the place. More ruffle ideas HERE! Happy Friday!

Jazzin up Tank tops

Whenever Old Navy is having a sale, I try and stock up on their tanks. They are fun and easy to doll up and make funky and stylish for the girls. I tried out a few different things with these and love em, if I do say so myself. Enjoy!

Pillowcases

I should show you how I made these. because they are super easy. Am came over the other day and schooled me into making 2 for the girls. It was a great sewing session (minus the mud bath the girls gave Coop right in the middle of it). Take the good with the bad right?!

Work to do

Above are some covered button hair ties that I made the other day. I wanted 'sparkle' so I adorned them with swarvoroski crystals. I love them!

To match this (shown above). Did you know Ikea sells fabric? By the yard? On an actual bolt? huh right? Betcha didn't. I am in love with birds these days. And this fabric hits the spot!

These fabric rosettes are all the rage right now in bloggy blogland. And I had to try em. Super easy and addictive. They can be used in all sorts of ways....Stay tuned for a couple I have up my sleeve.

And this little beauty. A scarp quilt I am 'attempting'. It uses up your scraps and I found the idea on someone's blog and thought YES! It's time consuming but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end. I'm not a matcher so I like all the different variations in color. These are just some of the things lounging around my sewing room. I am such a procrastinator these days but with Spring break upon us, I just might get em done!

No Power

Makes mama creative. So I am a collector of things. But mostly fun fabrics. I recently went on a little adventure to a new spot (can't tell, a girl's gotta have some secrets right?) with one of my BFF's and spent 100$.On fabric. Right?! (HI! Honey, don't freak out!) But today I sat in my sewing room, I'll have to let you into my secret room soon to check it out, and found these beauties of my fabric garden hidden away. So I whipped up some colorful pillows for my sitting room. In front of the fire. It truly was one of the best afternoons this year. You like that right, This Year?! Anyhoots, I love em. They were super easy, SEE HERE, for a tutorial. My hubbs likes em too. Double yumm-o!

Girly Beanies

Found these beanies @ Target (oh how I LOVE Target, can you tell?) for $1.50 Wow huh?! and adorned them with fabric flowers and jewels. What a deal and fun for me. These are for all the girls in my life and boy are there a ton of em. Enjoy!

Rag Garland

I made this Rag Garland last week. Super easy. And began to think you could use it for many more things. In all different colors. All I used was:

 Multiple strips (2 inch by 8 inch) of fabric

1 long piece of ribbon t tie the strips to. Varied  length to your preference

And start tying.

Fresh & Fun

Some of my girlfriends always ask me How do I buy fabric online? Well it's easy, I shop, click and purchase. No really, I have some great shops online I like to google over from time to time (they are listed below in the right side of my page) if you are interested. And when they are having big blowout sales on designers I LOVE, I buy. ASAP. So these beauties are my latest splurge. What will I come up with next? Ummmmmmm Maybe a Giveaway?

Mini mama's

A girlfriend of mine let me borrow a pattern she had for an apron and I tried to modify it. And so I ask one of my own models to showcase it for me last night, so excuse her princess night gown and tired eyes. I begged her and she allowed me to snap a few... quickly. The apron has a front but I cut it down to just a lap apron, again for a shorter version that was quicker. Came out good, if I do say so myself. It still needs tweaks but I have more ideas to come. Enjoy.

Rough edges

I told myself I would try and use some scraps that I already had to make something. It didn't matter but I wanted to start becoming more resourceful with what fabric I have. Especially scraps. So I came up with this. It's quite small and might possibly become a doll blanket. But for now it sits on my inspiration board waiting. I left the edges raw for some texture and really because I am all for instant gratification. I want projects that I can finish asap. My time is limited so I want results. Who doesn't right?! Or it might just be me. Whatever the case, it was fun going through my shreds of fabric that otherwise wouldn't have much use.

Quilting Adventures

I have been eyeing this pattern for awhile and decided to give in and just get it. And now I can't decide if I chose the fabric or use some of the girls own dresses for the patterns. Decisions....decisions... I am not a pro quilter either but this pattern didn't seem too out of my league, famous last words right?! Wish me luck
